I WISHED I HAD A TIME MACHINE

Have you ever wanted to go back to those good old days back when?
Back when families went to church together every Sunday to stay free from Sin!
I wished I had a "Time Machine" that could take me back in "Time"!
Back to those good old days when America wasn't filled with so much evil and crime!
I would set my Time Machine "first" to take me back to those days when Jesus walked the earth!
So that I could speak to the Holy One who was born of a virgin birth!
I would like to go back in Time to witness the Crucifixion where my Lord died for me!
Because I know "that would move me" to spend more time each day on my knees!
I would like to go back to see that awesome scene on Golgotha's Hill where Jesus' blood ran red!
And be there that morning when the "stone was rolled away" after Christ rose from the dead!
I wished I had a "Time Machine" to take me back to those good old days so cool!
Back to those days when we "Honored" our Flag and "prayed" daily in our schools!
Oh Lord, Grant me the wisdom to build a "TIME MACHINE" to venture back into the past!
Back to those days of sitting together on the front porch when life wasn't moving so fast!
I wished I had a "TIME MACHINE" to go back and visit my loved ones that are now dead and gone!
"To sit with them again in church to worship and sing those gospel songs!"
Oh Lord, reset the clock and take me back to when I was a small child, after I close this rhyme!
"And let me relive those "GOOD OLE DAYS" just one more time!"
Oh, how I wish and weep as I pen this little rhyme!
"Oh Lord, How I wish I had a Time Machine to take me "back yonder" in "TIME"!"
