QUIET TIME

My Pastor preached a great message today out of Ecclesiastes chapter three!
As his message proceeded, it began to deeply move and touch me!
"BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD!" was one of many scriptures he quoted before he was done!
And I locked those precious verses away in my heart, because I cherish every one!
He spoke of how he had took a hard look at his life that inspired me to pen this rhyme!
As he shared how he had to repent in the past for becoming too busy for "QUIET TIME"!
That is, no time to "BE STILL" to hear that still small voice from God above!
His daily routine had become too busy to get alone with the God he loved!
So, he repented and began to set aside again "SPECIAL TIME" to spend on his knees!
Time to be alone with The Lord which was his greatest need!
As he prayed in his quiet place and sought his God above!
He could hear that still small voice of God "again" that was filled with grace and love!
How about you today? When was the last time you clearly heard God speak to you?
Has it been many years since you heard that still small voice from beyond the Blue?
Have you drifted away from God and grown lukewarm/cold in your spirit within?
Has your Bible become covered with a layer of dust because you've been overcome by Sin?
Have you let old Satan steal your quiet time that you and God used to share?
Have you let the cares of this world steal away that time you used to spend in prayer?
Have you noticed that the "PEACE and STRENGTH" you once had in your soul has slipped away?
"That's what happens to "all Christians" who let their "QUIET TIME" fade away!"
