IMMORALITY ANGERS THE DIVINE
by ONOME OGBAJIBREDE

Scriptural Reading: Galatians 5:19-21

‘‘And they committed whoredoms in Egypt; they committed whoredoms in their youth: there were their breasts pressed, and there they bruised the teats of their virginity.’’ Ezekiel 23:3 (KJV)

As a growing child many years ago, in one of the celebrations either Christmas or New Year, we read from the newspaper of a man that died after the sin of immorality he committed with a lady. And there are also several instances of people dying in their hotel rooms after sex. There is this story told to us by Brother Thomas Michael Sambo in his Divine Revelation of Heaven and Hell. According to him, there was this man who was traveling and there was nightfall so he had to check in into a hotel and there he fell into the sin of immorality. Meanwhile, according to Brother Thomas Michael Sambo, the man was a believer and in that morning prior to the sin of immorality, his name was still in the BOOK OF LIFE. After committing this sin as they were traveling he had an accident and he died and went to Hell and it was in Hell the man was asking questions about mercy. How short is life and how risky it is to gamble with our salvation? Pleasure for a while, eternity forever. Let us see some of these scriptures and fear God. Jude 1:7-8 (KJV)  Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire.Likewise also these filthy dreamers defile the flesh, despise dominion, and speak evil of dignities.’ I Corinthians 10:8 (NIV) We should not commit sexual immorality, as some of them did—and in one day twenty-three thousand of them died.

From our scriptural reading, adultery and fornication were also classified among works of the flesh and for any individual that indulges in such unwholesome tendency will not inherit the kingdom of God. That means any fellow who is unable to make Heaven cannot escape Hell. Our bodies are the temple of God and He wants us to respect His temple and to keep it holy.

God is a God of purity, holiness, and righteousness and He wants us to be like Him and He does not want us to ‘give our strength to women nor our ways to that which destroyeth kings as seen in the book of Proverbs 31:3 (KJV). When we keep our bodies holy, then He will continuously dwell in us and be pleased with us.

What is still the stand of God against all sexual practitioners that refuse to repent? This is what the word of God says in the book of Revelation 21:27 (KJV) ‘And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.’ God wants us to preserve our bodies as a living sacrifice to Him, to live right and to stay away from anything that does not give glory to Him so that at the end of our stay here on earth we will be able to make Heaven which will be victory at last- A place of rejoicing for all saints.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, forgive me of all my sins of sexual immoralities and grant me your Holy Spirit Divine to help detach me from the bondage of every unholy union. Amen

The pleasure of sin is a bait that hooks the soul for destruction.
