THE BANNER OF GOD
by Lewis E. Thomas THE BANNER OF GOD A Standardbearer is a soldier who carries the flag or banner for a unit or army of men. Are you a Standardbearer for God carrying the Cross in the battle against Sin?
Do you lift the Cross up "high" for all lost souls to see?
When old Satan sees you coming does he laugh or do an "About Face" and begin to flee?
When the fighting gets rough and painful do you let the Banner of The Cross go down?
Or do you "continue" to hold the Banner of The Cross up high and wave it all around?
There are lost souls "around you" most every day!
If we asked them if you were a Christian I wonder what they would say?
Would they be quick to confirm that you hold God's Banner high?
Or would they say you are "not so faithful" because you often use profanity and tell them lies?
Are you letting God down in this BATTLE FOR THE SOULS OF MEN?
Are you getting the Banner of The Cross all dirty and stained with your Sins?
Are you carrying the "BANNER OF THE CROSS" in a manner that pleases God today?
If God checked your record as a "STANDARD BEARER" I wonder what He would say?
Are you a Christian Soldier who goes "above and beyond" for God, obeying His commands?
Or do you do as "little" as you think is necessary to keep you from losing your salvation plan?
* When Jesus returns, let Him find you and I "fighting Sin" and holding His "BANNER" high! *
Then we can be "sure" that He will take us up to that GREAT KINGDOM beyond the sky!
