I'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE MAN!
by Lewis E. Thomas I HAVE BEEN EVERYWHERE MAN! Johnny Cash used to sing a song with my poem title repeated over and over in its lyrics!
I love that old song and God inspired me to write this rhyme and I'd like you to hear it!
I've been everywhere man, I've breathed the mountain air man!
Crossed the desert's bare, man.
I've been everywhere!
Perhaps you can relate to Johnny's song lyrics and you have traveled to every land!
And like old Johnny you can say "IV'E BEEN EVERYWHERE MAN"!
Visiting all those places is great and something most folks will never, ever be able to do!
Whether you have been everywhere or not God has one question that He wants to ask of you!
Your answer to God's question will reveal the condition of your immortal soul!
The Bible teaches that just one soul is worth more than all the world's silver and gold!
Your answer will reveal whether you are saved and born again or eternally lost!
If you have been everywhere, does that mean that you have been to "THE CROSS"?
Have you been to that bloody Cross where the LAMB of GOD died?
Have you been to The Cross of The Crucified?
Have you been to Golgotha's Hill within your heart and your soul?
Have you been to that "OLD RUGGED CROSS"
to have your sins washed away with the blood of Jesus Christ that saves the young and the old?
One can sing, "I'VE BEEN EVERYWHERE MAN" when they have "never" been to THE CROSS!
One can travel to every land, villiage, city, found on the earth and end up eternally lost!
One can have never traveled beyond their own Home State!
Yet The Cross of Christ is going to determine their ETERNAL FATE!
How about you today my friend,
HAVE "YOU" BEEN TO THE CROSS?
If not, have you thought long and hard about it and considered the "COST"?
You should go to The Cross "right now" if you have never been!
It's the "Only Place" to find forgiveness for your Sins!
I've been everywhere man!...
