by Lewis E. Thomas THE GREATEST GIFT WE CAN GIVE OUR CHILD The greatest gift we can give our child is not a new car or a new truck!
It's not giving them a prestigious education at PRINCETON or YALE that costs tens of thousands of bucks!
The greatest gift is not pushing them and driving them until they win OLYMPIC GOLD!
The greatest gift is not pushing them and coaching them until they win a SUPER BOWL!
The greatest gift is not helping them to achieve world renown with FORTUNE AND FAME!
The greatest gift is not to get them into the great "HALL OF FAME"!
The "greatest gift" we can give our children is a firm foundation built on God above!
By taking them to Church to learn about the Cross of Christ and Gods Devine love!
This greatest gift includes teaching our children how to "study the Bible and pray"!
How to walk with God and how to "stay on" that STRAIGHT AND NARROW WAY!
The GREATEST GIFT we can give them is to lead them to Jesus who can save their soul!
If we "fail our children" on this matter they may "never make it" to Heaven to walk on those Streets of Gold!
How about you today on that path you now trod?
Are you "by example" leading your children "to or away from" God?
Have you given them a foundation built on sin and the world's shifting sands?
Or have you given them a spiritual foundation built on Jesus (THE ROCK) that will forever stand?
This rhyme is a warning from God, so listen to it really well!
*How we raise up our children will have a "direct influence" on whether they go to Heaven or Hell!*
