To Know Him Is to Love Him

‘To Know Him Is to Love Him’… [The Teddy Bears hit record/ 1958]

Do you know Jesus?

You probably know about Him; but do you ‘know Him?’

Do you know how much He loves you?

To know Him is to love Him.

“But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.  Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;  that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death (Philippians 3:7-9 NKJV).”

We can know the power of His resurrection.

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth (Acts 1:8 NKJV).”

His people experience the fellowship of His sufferings.

“… but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy (1 Peter 4:13 NKJV).”

As we are transformed by His grace, we are being conformed to His death.

“For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.  When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory (Colossians 3:3-4 NKJV).”

Let’s get to know Him better; to know Him is to love Him!
