Praise God!
“Come and listen, all who fear God, and I will tell what He has done for me. I cried out to Him with my mouth, and praise was on my tongue. If I had been aware of malice in my heart, the Lord would not have listened. However, God has listened; He has paid attention to the sound of my prayer. May God be praised! He has not turned away my prayer or turned His faithful love from me (Psalm 66:16-20 HCSB).”
Christ followers are compelled to tell their salvation stories. They cry out to God in conviction and brokenness; lost, they confess their sins.
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9 HCSB).”
Forgiven, they praise God.
“Therefore, through Him let us continually offer up to God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of our lips that confess His name (Hebrews 13:15 HCSB).”
