THE PRIDE RIDE!
by Lewis E. Thomas THE PRIDE RIDE! We have all been to a FAIR or to an Amusement Park at some time in the past!
We enjoyed the "WILD RIDES" that scared us and that went really fast!
There is one ride that stands out above them all!
And this ride always ends up causing some to take a "MIGHTY FALL"!
It is the "PRIDE RIDE" and it is like no other!
It has destroyed many unsaved souls and many Christian sisters and brothers!
The "PRIDE RIDE" will take you up higher than you ever thought you would go!
So high that you become proud that you are not like those "common folks" down below!
The "PRIDE RIDE" will convince you that you are much holier/better than the rest!
It will take you to great heights and convince you that "you" are the "BEST"!
The "PRIDE RIDE" will keep you looking down your nose at those lesser folks below!
As you mock them and think, " Compared to me, those folks are just moving "too" slow!
You won't realize that the "PRIDE RIDE" takes you up to great heights of fame and renown!
Only to get you to that point of "no return" where you, "COME CRASHING DOWN"!
Are you on the "PRIDE RIDE" today as you near the end of this little rhyme?
If so, "YOU HAD BETTER PUT ON THE BREAKS OF REPENTANCE" while you still have "TIME"!
