by Lewis E. Thomas A LOVE LETTER FROM GOD Dear Precious Soul: I watched you sleeping peacefully all through the night!
I wanted to "wake you up" so that I could hold you close and tight!
But, I let you sleep on, because you worked so hard yesterday!
You really "earned" every dollar that you were paid!
I sat next to you this morning as you tied your new shoes!
You know I really "miss you" on Sundays when I dont see you sitting in the pews!
I sat next to you as you drove to work this morning hoping you might "talk to me'...
But, you never said a word to me, and that really saddened me!
I was crucified for you on a Cross were I died and bore your shame...
Yet, you continue to "ignore me" and act as if you don't even know my name!
I hung on an old rugged Cross and I wore a painful "CROWN OF THORNS" for you!
And when the Roman Soldiers drove those big nails through my hands and feet I was thinking of "YOU"!
I left my Father's side in Heaven and my Royal Throne up above!
To come down to the Earth to show you my "AWESOME LOVE"!
If you can find a few minutes to spare today I would really "love" to hear from you!
Just whisper my name in a prayer and I'll hear you, because I will "always" be there close by, sitting or walking right next to you!
I love you with all my heart and with all my soul!
I'm praying you'll "follow me" up to Heaven one day to walk with me on streets paved with gold!
