Once I was lost, in place unknown,

was searching for the right way Home.

I saw an old, forgotten book,

and picked it up to have a look

at pages weathered. History

unfolded; this great mystery

revealed to me the power of 

the LORD Almighty--God above.

I sat there in His flowered field

from man nor beast nor bird concealed,

and reveled in His wondrous Word.

(How many times before I'd heard

these very phrases told to me

by Believer, by Pharisee)

I clutched the Treasure to my breast

and knew my soul was truly blessed;

lost for so long, that joyful day,

I'd found the right way Home--God's Way!
