What’s that I see in the eye of a veteran?
Is it a glimmer of hope for America?
The veteran holds their head high.
The vet refuses to settle for days gone by.
He or she believes embers of patriotism fires still flicker.
Uncle Sam is coming out of retirement to rekindle the flames.
The American veteran's love for family, abiding faith and love for country endures.
“And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13 NKJV).”
Wait a minute; what’s that falling from the veteran’s eye?
Is it a tear?
Sadly, many of those who’ve served are lonely, neglected and ignored.
We can show our appreciation.
Look a veteran in the eye; say thank you.
I appreciate their service.
They appreciate our support.
Are you a veteran?
Thank you for serving your country!
