It’s getting dark; are you afraid of the dark?

Spiritual darkness is settling over the land.

Stay alert; be prayerful but do not fear.

“If I say, “Surely the darkness will overwhelm me,
And the light around me will be night,’
Even darkness is not dark to You,
And the night is as bright as the day.
Darkness and light are alike to You (Psalm 139:11-12 NASB).”

The LORD delivers His own from darkness.

“For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Colossians 1:13 NASB).”

Take His hand; He is in the light.

“… but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin (1 John 1:7 NASB).”

Resist the darkness!

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist on the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm (Ephesians 6:10-13 NASB).”
