Eternal Love!
by Tonja Taylor 15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may a]">[a]not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever! 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (b]">[b]unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him. 18 He who believes in Him [who clings to, trusts in, relies on Him] is not judged [he who trusts in Him never comes up for judgment; for him there is no rejection, no condemnation—he incurs no damnation]; but he who does not believe (cleave to, rely on, trust in Him) is judged already [he has already been convicted and has already received his sentence] because he has not believed in and trusted in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [He is condemned for refusing to let his trust rest in Christ’s name.]--John 3:16-18, AMPC You don't have to believe it. But just because you don't believe something does not mean it's not true! Christ Jesus offers you something that no thing nor other person ever could: Eternal Love, and eternal life--the Life of God (John 10:10)! You can't earn it. You can't pay for it--nor pay it back. And you can never, ever, be good enough to deserve it! So, how does this work? Simple. The God Who always was and is and is to come made a choice: First, to make Mankind so He could shower His Love upon people and be loved in return, and Second: To give manking--people--with everything they would ever need. Then, when Man messed up, God the Father loved His creation so much that He sent His only Son, Jesus the Christ, to miraculously come to earth and be born as a man, so He could understand totally--by direct experience, not vicariously--exactly what it's like to be a person in a sin-filled world. God sent Jesus so He could not only experience all the good and the challenges that any person on earth could face, but He gave Him the Grace to overcome the challenges. Jesus experienced temptation in every arena, but overcame temptation. He did not give in to it! That made Him acceptable to God to go to the cross and die in the place of every human who would ever be born--so that any person who agrees with Him could go free, and not have to pay the most horrible penalty for sin! Every human, since Adam the first Man fell, has been born into sin and is destined for hell--unless that person chooses to believe in and receive Christ as their Savior--their Substitute! 36 Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them.--John 3:36, AMPC 10 For with the heart a person believes (adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Christ) and so is justified (declared righteous, acceptable to God), and with the mouth he confesses (declares openly and speaks out freely his faith) and confirms [his] salvation.--Romans 10:10, AMPC 10 With a view to this we toil and strive, [yes and] suffer reproach, because we have [fixed our] hope on the living God, Who is the Savior (Preserver, Maintainer, Deliverer) of all men, especially of those who believe (trust in, rely on, and adhere to Him). --I Timothy 4:10, AMPC You don't have to believe me, but the unchanging, eternal, matchless, unfailing Word of God and His Spirit of Truth will convince you. Cry out to Him to reveal Himself to you--to prove He is alive and loves you. HE WILL!
