Water Like Humanity
by Tonja Taylor

Water, like humanity, has textures.

Water is:

soft, to the touch in a bath

hard, like ice in a cup

hot, like in steam from a pot

cold, like in snow on the porch

soothing, like in a warm shower

stinging, like sleet in winter

refreshing, like a spring rain

nourishing, like a drink after work

cleansing, like the rinsing of dishes

delightful,  like a swim in the heat

Water, like humanity, has colors.

Water:

is green in stagnant, yucky slime

is blue in a rippled, dappled lake

is brown in muddy puddles

is gray in an egnimatic ocean

is clear in a flowing mountain river

is white in stormy wave-tops

is turquoise in exotic lands

But whoever takes a drink of the water that I will give him shall never, no never, be thirsty any more. But the water that I will give him shall become a spring of water welling up (flowing, bubbling) [continually] within him unto (into, for) eternal life.--John 4:14, AMPC

Through books, courses, presentations, service, prayer, worship, and more, Tonja and her husband live to exalt God. Her series for girls, P.O.W.E.R.
