Planning summertime trips?

The COVID pandemic prevented travel worldwide. Though the travel and hospitality industries have not fully recovered; progress is being made. Customers are once again traveling by car, bus, plane and train. Hopefully, cruise lines will soon be sailing the seas. Bon Voyage!  We can plan and prepare for vacations or business trips. Yet, some circumstances are beyond our control.

Customers stayed at home. The travel and hospitality industries did not make a profit last year.

“Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will travel to such and such a city and spend a year there and do business and make a profit.’ You don’t even know what tomorrow will bring—what your life will be! For you are like smoke that appears for a little while, then vanishes.

Instead, you should say, ‘If the Lord wills, we will live and do this or that (James 4:13-15 HCSB).”

He is in control. The Lord guides our steps.

“A man’s heart plans his way,
but the Lord determines his steps (Proverbs 16:9 HCSB).”
