I’m a clock watcher.
Believe me; a wrist watch is a regular accessory.
When busy, my husband often runs behind schedule. He says, ‘The time got away from me.’ (He doesn’t wear a watch.)
I’d guess my clock watching started in kindergarten where MS Percival taught me how to tell time. We made clocks out of paper plates; funny how I still remember that. Clock watching became a regular habit with me; checking the time each morning before going outside to wait for my school bus. At school, I took frequent glances at the big wall clock. How much longer until lunch? The clock held my undivided attention just before the final bell.
It was time to go home!
Jesus has gone to prepare your home. (John 14:1-4)
He is coming again.
Are you waiting and watching?
If not, it’s high time.
“Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
‘Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing (Matthew 24:42-46 NKJV).”
