Exiting Euclid Avenue
by Annie Glasel I’ve exited here more than a thousand times Going home in the early morn Going home late at night Going home in the midst of a busy day
Going home in the rain Going home under a bright California sun Going home swayed by the Santa Ana wind
Going home after a date Going home after moving out of state Going home to say a final good bye
Going home alone Going home with my sister Going home with my new husband, then with my new born son
Today I return to pay the final city utility bill And realized that
I may exit here again But it will never be Going home
I've written to ease my pain; I've written to hear my voice; I've written for vanity; I've written for sanity; I've written for fun; I've written for laughs; I've written for me; I've written for money. But until I write for God, this talent is for naught. Article Source: http://www.faithwriters.com |
