ARE YOU HURTING THOSE YOU LOVE?

 

Are you hurting the ones you love in ways that you are totally unaware of?

You are "HURTING" them "EVERY" time you commit "SINFUL ACTS" against God up above!

 

Your children and your friends are influenced by you and the things that you do!

Every time they see you doing sinful things they are being encouraged to be just like you!

 

They are "WATCHING YOU" and many will be following your "LEAD"!

Are you teaching them to live unholy lives filled with grudges, lust, hate, envy, revenge, profanity, and greed?

 

Everytime you entertain "UNHOLY THOUGHTS" within the corridors of your mind!

You are "HURTING" the ones you love and you are grieving "THE DEVINE"!

 

Every evil thought you dwell on and entertain is going to manifest itself in your behavior!

All will see that you are living in total disobedience to Jesus, our Savior!

 

You are hurting those you claim to love by being "LESS" than what God wants you to be!

Do you want your loved ones to remain "SLAVES" to sin or do you want them to be "FREE'?

 

Are you a lost "SLAVE" to sin yourself without even knowing it?

If you are living in disobedience to God's Word your "ACTIONS" will clearly show it!

 

We all have the Power to lead others to become good or bad in this life!

That would include every father, mother, sister, brother, husband, and wife!

 

If we "REALLY LOVED" all of our relatives and friends!

We would do our "BEST" to lead them all "TO GOD" and "AWAY FROM SIN"!!

 

Someone is "WATCHING" you every day, so please remember that "WELL"!

If they "FOLLOW YOUR LEAD" will it take them up to Heaven or straight down into "HELL"?

An old friend responded to this poem as follows:

I read your poem and reflected back to the summer of '76. My oldest daughter was just a month or so over 2 and 1/2. My wife, daughter and I  were riding around one day and a herd of deer crossed in front of us and my baby girl pointed and said, "look at that damn buck". My wife immediately said, "I wonder where she heard that". That was a slap in my face and a wake up call. So yes I completely understand the essence of your poem!!!
