I BELONG TO THE LORD
by linzy bruno

There are those who search their whole lives;
desiring perfection and song,
so hard is life for them; wandering and
wondering,

"Just where do I belong?"

                              How my eyes well with tears for the many
                              roaming long.... down dark streets,
                              for their value is laid in nothing;
                              their legs cursing them in defeat.

But a holy purchase is of the Lord,
It's in Him that I have my song,
no need to peek around every corner,
safe at home, right where I belong.

                              For my hope is in Him Who owns me,
                              therefore, all worldly pursuits be slain,
                              It's to Him I give thanks and pay homage
                              for every last bit of my gain.

There are those who search their whole lives;
desiring perfection and song,
so hard is life for them,
wandering and wondering,

"Just where do I belong?"
