Art Linkletter’s warm smile and personality attracted television audiences for decades. His CBS ‘Art Linkletter’s House Party’ had a successful run of 17 years. Who could forget the hilarious ‘Kids Say The Darndest Things’ segments? Nobody knew what to expect from the youngsters. Kids will be kids.
I remember two humorous incidents from our grandsons. When visiting our daughter and family, my husband Norm went outside and sat down on the walkway. Stooping down, he heaved a sigh of exertion. Justin, then age 3, also heaved a sigh and sat down beside him. Forgive the pun; monkey see-monkey do. Grandsons are grand.
Granddaddy has repeatedly told another true story. Our grandson was looking at him puzzled and asked about the scars on his face. Norm explained that they were wrinkles. That was close to 30 years ago. My husband’s wrinkles are now more numerous and noticeable; he’s still handsome.
“Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless (Ephesians 5:25-27 NASB).”
I admit it; I too have wrinkles. I’ll share a secret; I use wrinkle cream.
