Surrender, to most lawbreakers, is unthinkable.
They’ll use every means possible to evade capture. Yet, there are others who are tired of running. Caught in the act, they willingly surrender. Raising hands high, they surrender.
I give up.
God gave us the Ten Commandments; we have all broken His law.
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23 KJV).”
All have broken His law. That means me; that means you.
Christ didn’t do away with the law; He fulfilled it and condensed it into two easy to understand commands.
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
This is the first and great commandment.
And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets (Matthew 22:37-40 KJV).”
I gave up.
I’ve surrendered; have you?
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23 KJV).”
I raise my hands in surrender; I lift my hands in prayer and praise!
“I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting (1 Timothy 2:8 KJV).”
