WHEN YOUR LAST DOMINO FALLS!
by Lewis E. Thomas WHEN YOUR LAST DOMINO FALLS!
Those of us who have grown old now with the passing of many years...
Have weathered many of life's storms and we have shed many tears!
Of late I have had many relatives, friends, and old school mates to "PASS AWAY"!
I have been moved by God to write this rhyme so please listen to what it has to say!
When my brother Bobby, my sister Dianne, and I were young there was a game we used to play!
We would play with our "DOMINOS" and stand them in rows to occupy ourselves on those old wet rainy days!
We stood them close together one by one in rows that curved left and then right!
It was tedious work and the"DOMINOS" had to be positioned "JUST RIGHT"!
It was a fun game, a game that we played for many hours!
It kept us from being bored when we had to stay indoors during those stormy showers!
When we had all our "DOMINOS" in place the fun came when we tipped the first one over which caused them all to begin to fall one by one!
The distance we put between them would determine how quickly they would fall as we had our fun!
This game reminded me of the deaths of my many friends, relatives, and old school mates!
The game of "DOMINOS" reminded me of all those that I have lost of late!
My sister and my brother-in-law's last domino fell within six days of each other this week!
The sudden death of one caused the others Broken Heart to fail and become very weak!
God has arranged our "DOMINOS OF LIFE" to fall one by one over the years!
As they fall some bring us happiness and some bring us heartaches and tears!
We can't know how many "DOMINOS" or years God has given us until the last one falls!
"This rhyme is a warning from God, a "WAKE UP" call and final question for ONE AND ALL!"
Question:
"Will you be "BORN AGAIN" and "READY" to face God when your "LAST DOMINO" falls?"
