Radio stations, like many businesses, have gone to automation. Some still use live announcers behind the microphone but the days of Boss Jocks has come and gone.
I was a faithful listen to my favorite WNDR disc jockeys. I’m now a faithful wife of one who worked there.
I often called Norm and other DJ’s at the station to request and dedicate songs. One time I was asked to answer the phone to take the called in requests and dedications. I carried the information to Norm in the control room and even received a pay check from the station.
Those listener requests had no lasting significance.
Our requests to God are carried to the throne room through prayer.
“Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need (Hebrews 4:16 NASB).”
Would you like to make a special request?
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:6-7 NASB).”
Don’t be afraid to ask God.
Give Him your requests.
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you (Matthew 7:7 NASB).”
