I Must Abide
by PamFord Davis

Mom & Pop stores start their business day by hanging an ‘open’ sign on their doors.

Is my life open or closed?

LORD, open my eyes; I want to see.

“Open my eyes, that I may see
Wondrous things from Your law (Psalm 119:18 NKJV).”

Father, open my ears; I want to hear what the Spirit says.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will
come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. To him who overcomes I will grant to sit
with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.

He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches (Revelation 3:20-22 NKJV).” ’ ”

Christ, I open my heart. I must abide in You; abide in me.

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing (John 15:4-5 NKJV).”
