How to Get Rid of Toxins Without Exercise
by Tonja Taylor

Therefore, since these [great] promises are ours, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates and defiles body and spirit, and bring [our] consecration to completeness in the [reverential] fear of God.--2 Corinthians 7:1, AMPC

God gives us these bodies so we can have the legal right to be on earth--to know Him, and to help others know Him. That is why we are on the planet!

So, the LORD wants us to be good stewards of our bodies, just like we take care of our cars, houses, and more. ( (Every good gift is from Him! need to exercise--preferably daily. But some days are just so busy, we can't seem to find time for even a 10-minute walk.

I've been amazed that, even getting up at 5 a.m. or earlier, my days have often been so full that I never got around to exercising, other than all the walking I did that day taking care of things I needed to do!

As I've matured through the years, I've realized (after wondering and thinking it was weird) why many people pay money to go sit and sweat--so they can rid their bodies of toxins, and rest, without exercising!

Now I understand. I even experienced a red-light sauna a few years ago. After I turned off the New Age music that the owner had playing, I enjoyed the quiet warmth in the telephone-booth sized enclosure. I quickly started to sweat, and just rested.

That's great if you want to do that. Some people even pay a couple thousand dollars and put a sauna in their homes.

However, I've discovered something even better--and much, much more economical! It's call a hot bath!

A hot shower is always good, of course, but the effect of a bath is different. You get to submerge your body in the water, which envelopes you like a warm, wet blanket.  Then, the hot water starts opening your pores, and when you sweat, toxins are leaving your body, at the same time your muscles--and your mind--are relaxing!

You may even fall asleep in the bathtub, as I have many times, and that's a good thing! It should not keep you from being able to sleep when you get out.

A hot bath has helped me many times to not only release toxins, but to get rid of body aches and stiffness, so I needed absolutely no medicine! So it's a win-win situation.

Yes, even if you have to wait till everyone else is asleep, it's worth running a really hot bath deep enough so you can lie in the water up to your neck. (Make sure it's not too hot, of course; no need to burn your skin! You're trying to relax, here, and help your body!), so you can lean back on a towel or bath pillow, pull the curtain around you, and have your own private time.

(It's a good time to be quiet and listen to the LORD, Who often has a hard time speaking to us during the day, because we are so busy!)

Be sure and add Epsom salts, or essential oils that you like, or coconut oil and apple cider vinegar (ACV) and baking soda. These will help cleanse, balance, and soften your skin.

Another thing is that you need to drink water immediately after that, to replenish what you have sweated out. This is true whether you use a sauna, a hot tub, or your regular bathtub.

You may find, as I have often, that you don't need as thick a set of jammies or nightgown as usual, even during the winter. The bath will most likely cause you to feel warmer than usual, but you should sleep very well, with your cleansed and relaxed body and mind!

So by simply taking a hot bath (even 10 minutes will help, although you will most likely want to stay longer!), you can cleanse and relax your body and mind, and be more in tune with your spirit. The spirit is where the LORD speaks to us, in His gentle, still voice.

And may the God of peace Himself sanctify you through and through [separate you from profane things, make you pure and wholly consecrated to God]; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved sound and  complete [and found] blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah).--I Thessalonians, 5:23, AMPC
