‘Listen.’
You’ve heard the command from parents and teachers; as a plea, it may have been spoken by a troubled spouse, child or friend.
‘Listen to me’…
If you, (like me) have watched or listened to ‘In Touch’ on TV or radio; you admire Dr. Charles Stanley. He preaches under the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit. Getting his points across, he repeatedly says, listen!
How closely do you listen; how do I?
Are we attentive?
Do we listen for God’s voice, His commands and correction?
Are we receptive?
God has spoken; have we been listening?
“God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways, in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world. And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact representation of His nature, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high (Hebrews 1:1-3 NASB).”
Listen; we don’t want to miss a word!
