He’s got your back.
“Then the angel of God, who had been going before the camp of Israel, moved and went behind them; and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them (Exodus 14:19 NASB).”
An old popular song comes to mind; ‘Someone to Watch Over Me.’
Ira Gershwin and Howard Dietz penned the lyrics to this 1926 standard. Isn’t that everyone’s desire?
We yearn for security and protection; we hope someone’s got our backs.
Trust God; He has!
“The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in From this time and forever (Psalm 121:8 NASB).”
Most of us feel we can trust family and friends to do what’s best for us; they have earned that trust. Yet, they are limited in what they can do to protect us. God has no limitations.
God is Omnipotent. “And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26 NASB).”
He is Omniscient. “Great is our Lord and abundant in strength; His understanding is infinite (Psalm 147:5 NASB).”
Our LORD is Omnipresent. “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, Watching the evil and the good (Proverbs 15:3 NASB).”
Trust God; He is all powerful, all knowing and in all places.
