When the ceiling begins to give way

and the paint begins to peel,

when the foundation begins to sink

and the landlord may as well steal;

a believer can see the goodness of God,

rather than decay,

through the cracks and the bended tree,

all is well, and all will stay.

Christians take flight,

but not on a plane;

one that comes from on high,

one that acknowledges

how much more joy there is in suffering;

the kind that money just can’t buy.

So when the secular answer

sends you running to the nearest store,

think about what God would have you do;

seeing His Hand at work,

will bring fresh meaning to conceive

of what actually should be new.

Therefore, when those bended trees

threaten your home and will not rescind;

God will uphold them and they will not break, 

for His Hand is mightier than the wind.

So what is better?

To go and buy a new house that is in better shape,

would seem the thing to do,

but as with the believer,

the solution aloof,

lies with only a few…..

Believers decisions appear strange to the secular world,

and afar,

but those who know what true satisfaction is,

know how much better God’s upgrades really are!
