A Glorious Wonderful Day
by Kathleen Angell

A glorious day yesterday. We only got about 3 hrs.sleep because I got so wound up making pans of red and blue  jello that it took a bit to settle down. That sounds funny but if you've ever made layered jello for a crowd late at night you'll understand.  The tiredness was not noticed too much and by the end of the day not at all.   When  I look at yesterday, though with so little sleep, I cannot help but be so very thankful and even amazed.  Breakfast serving at church went beautifully because so many wonderful people came to serve.  We were amazed at the amount of dear folks served. This was a glorious time of having moments to stop and pray with friends that God has brought into all our lives. Weeping with those who weep and rejoicing with those who rejoice. Sharing the hope that is in looking to Jesus and trusting the word that is shared in the Bible for hope and guidance for the day. I so love in Jesus Christ being with these dear folks.  Words cannot express His love felt for them.  Those who serve and those being served.  I feel so blessed in our Lord to be there. It is glorious in our Lord Jesus Christ and moves me each week in seeing the Lord's true love for people.

Then Sunday school. The goodness of our Lord. I ask the four precious children if they had any praises they wanted to share. There are testimonies of thankfulness for what God has done in sorrow that cannot but touch ones heart very much. 4-5 year olds sharing suffering and praise and thankfulness.Understanding of the Lord so surpassing in giving Him glory and praise in deep difficulty.  One ask for prayer for their little brother there with us.  Being bullied.  We prayed and called on the Lord to help him and take care of the situation. I ask if any remembered their Armor of God.  Darn tootin'.  The Helmet of Salvation in Jesus Christ. We went over again what that means.  Our salvation through Jesus Christ and that He is always with us and will never leave us or ever forsake us. We made Sheilds of Faith out of colored paper and are learning how to use it. I pray lots of the Word remain in the memory and heart of each one. The love of Jesus for the children and people is so great my very being aches for the Love that is from God for these precious ones and the longing to share  it. I go home half undone for joy and half undone for longing to continue to be in the presence of need to share His love .To see each one that God has given into my life that day that they might continue in trusting and seeking the Lord and abiding in His Holy Scriptures, have a hunger for them and to grow in grace daily and be made whole in the  life that is from the Lord.

A lady weeping in the bathroom for the unfairness of life.  Asking questions and weeping and hearing the Lord's Holy Spirit reach out to share hope, the release of anger.  To bring forgiveness. God bless that woman to hear His precious voice in the midst of such turmoil and the dear woman who as she changed her baby was standing in agreement with me. That this woman who needs healing from hurt and anger be healed and to have the grace to continue in seeking to know the answers from Him. To know Him is to live. To seek His Word is to walk on a path of life. I so long to see each one grow in truly hearing His Word. To hear His Word is to live.

How the Lord blessed the day.  What stood out was the Love of Jesus for all the people encountered and the blessing of the day was great.
