Eat Your Enzymes!
by Tonja Taylor

If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.--James 1:5, AMPC

I've been interested in holistic health for years, and the more I learn and apply the wisdom God gives me, the healthier I am! In my current studies to become a certified health coach, I have discovered how very vital enzymes are to our lives.

As I was reading about the necessity of enzymes yesterday, I remembered that, just a few days ago, I'd craved and started eating fresh blueberries, about a tablespoon a day, and realized that I had more energy than usual on those mornings.

It hit me that, because those fresh, uncooked (unaltered) blueberries were full of enzymes, that the "living energy" in those blueberry enzymes had increased my energy!

Hallelujah, God is good! He leads us in right paths, for His name's sake!

The main way to be strong and healthy, of course, is to follow the Word of God and otherwise get to know the Holy Spirit, Who created and sustains you, and will teach you all things (John 16)!

Enzymes are vital for life, and we need to eat more of them!

What are enzymes? They are, according to Dr. Jordin Rubin, "Proteins which stimulate chemical reactions between other proteins."

We must have them, and they come mostly from eating whole, raw foods--fruits and vegetables, nuts, and seeds.

If our bodies don't get enough, the pancreas is overtaxed, because enzymes are produced by that organ. However, almost every person on the planet does not get enough from "normal" foods such as packaged and preserved and fast food, etc. In fact, these things can cause a depletion of enzymes.

Also, the colon can become toxic if there are not enough enzymes, because undigested meat and other substances need the help of enzymes to successfully pass through. (Fiber helps this too, of course.)

"Eating your enzymes" means to consume more fresh fruits and veggies, nuts, and seeds, along with other good foods.

(However, if you eat only junk, the enzymes are not going to help that much!)

When we ask the LORD for wisdom, He is faithful to give it to us. Wisdom includes taking good care of our bodies--including eating your enzymes!

Everything the LORD makes--the way He makes it (For He did not tell us to add pesticides to our crops; to genetically modify our food, nor put additives, fillers, and preservatives in it, etc.!)--is good for us!

Foods that are "raw"--uncooked, as in fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds, are full of good enzymes, fiber, and more!

Of course we have to cook meat and such, but lower heat and less cooking for meat and other foods will preserve more enzymes.

Through the middle of the broadway of the city; also, on either side of the river was the tree of life with its twelve varieties of fruit, yielding each month its fresh crop; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing and the restoration of the nations.--Revelation 22:2, AMPC

The LORD provided all we needed in the Garden of Eden. That got messed up, and the LORD's been working with us by His Holy Spirit (Who came when Jesus returned to Heaven, so that God's Spirit can be with us all, every moment, if we desire and invite Him (Matthew 22:14, Romans 10:13). Hallelujah!).

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you."--John 14:26, KJV
