“HIS NAME IS JOHN.
And they were all amazed. Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue set free, and he began to speak, praising God. Fear came on all those who lived around them, and all these things were being talked about throughout the hill country of Judea. All who heard about him took it to heart, saying, ‘What then will this child become?’ For, indeed, the Lord’s hand was with him (Luke 1:63b-66 HCSB).”
The baptizer; his name was John.
The evangelist; his name was John.
John Wesley, son of Samuel and Susanna Wesley, was born on June 28, 1703 in Epworth, Lincolnshire, England. He passed at the age of 87 on March 2, 1791.
Centuries later, Wesley is still touching lives with the gospel message.
“For, indeed, the Lord’s hand was with him (Luke 1:66b HCSB).”
Can the same be said of you; of me?
The Lord has promised His continual presence with all His children.
“Be satisfied with what you have, for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you (Hebrews 13:5b HCSB).”
Never, no never!
“And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20b HCSB).”
