FAN vs FANATIC
by Lewis E. Thomas FAN vs FANATIC Today if you are a devoted lover of "SPORTS" everyone will dub you as totally "NORMAL" and JUST FINE!
Yet if you are a "Devout Christian" who is too devoted to God, you are dubbed a "FANATIC" and a "LOON" and out of your mind!
You can talk about sports, hunting, fishing, golfing, until you "FINISH" the final chapter!
And "NO ONE" will look at you as if your cheese has "SLID OFF YOUR CRACKER"!
The "WORLD" loves it's "OWN", while a "TRUE" Christian is devoted to "Things" that are "NOT OF THIS WORLD" below!
The "TRUE CHRISTIAN" walks in total obedience to God, knowing that we all are going to "REAP" exactly what we "SOW"!
Someone who can quote all the "STATS" on their favorite "TEAM PLAYERS" will be praised as a totally "DEVOTED FAN" who is "UNIQUE"!
One who can quote the scriptures from the Holy Bible is dubbed as just another one of those "CRAZY JESUS FREAKS"!
If you love Jesus and God "too much" you will find members of your own Church will begin to "AVOID YOU"!
Especially those who do absolutely nothing for God, other than occupying their favorite spot on a pew!
I'm a "FANATIC" for Jesus and for that "OLD RUGGED CROSS" where God "SAVED" my unworthy soul!
Only Jesus "FANATICS" love The Father and The Son "ENOUGH" to make it up to that "Heavenly Kingdom" where the Streets are paved with "GOLD"!

I would say if you are fulfilling the scripture above then you are a devoted "FANATIC"!
