One Way to Love Others Better!
by Tonja Taylor

Love, love, love! God is Love (I John 4:8), and we all need it and want more Love; or, rather, we need to know more how much God really loves us!  We can help ourselves and others know God's love more, through prayer.

When we pray, it is an act of humility; it is an act of love.

Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];--1 Thessalonians 5:17, AMPC

Yes, we can repeat certain words and phrases like a robot, but when prayer is earnest--when it comes from the heart--the LORD hears and answers!

[Let your] love be sincere (a real thing); hate what is evil [loathe all ungodliness, turn in horror from wickedness], but hold fast to that which is good.--Romans 12:9, AMPC

Hallelujah!

It is actually the Holy Spirit Who is Love, Who is leading us to pray, and it is the LORD Jesus Who is Love:  He who does not love has not become acquainted with God [does not and never did know Him], for God is love--I John 4:8, AMPC.

It is our King, the LORD, Jesus Who is praying for us, as our High Priest Who ever lives to intercede for us before the Father.

Therefore He is able also to save to the uttermost (completely, perfectly, finally, and for all time and eternity) those who come to God through Him, since He is always living to make petition to God and intercede with Him and intervene for them.--Hebrews 7:25, AMPC

Hallelujah!

When we pray, we are actually serving as vessels through whom the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus our LORD, can flow through.

Our prayers are most effective when we pray in the Holy Spirit (tongues), and when we pray the Word of God over our loved ones.

Even if we have been hurt by and offended by someone, when we pray for them, the LORD will start bringing healing to our hearts (spirit) and souls (mind, will, emotions), and help us to see them more as He sees them.

As we yield to the Holy Spirit, He joins with us and flows through us, helping us, and we are blessed, those for whom we pray are affected by our prayers (It may not seem like it for a while, but the Word of God never returns void. It always accomplishes that for which it is sent.  God's power is diluted by sin and more, but God always does His Word!

10 For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater,  11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.--Isaiah 55:10-11, AMPC

He loves all people, and Jesus died so every person would have an excellent, abundant, free, safe, satisfying life.

The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).--John 10:10, AMPC

Hallelujah!

Ask the LORD to show you how to pray for others; which Scriptures to speak over them. Praying for others according to God's Word, His Spirit, is always a form of love!

Along with causing the Word to work in their lives, you will be sowing it into your own heart, expanding and strengthening your holy arsenal!

Hallelujah! With God, it's all a win-win!
