WHEN TO STAY SILENT
by linzy bruno

Silence has value as gold,

that’s what people say,

as there are those times

when words.....

just don’t come out the right way.

Succumbing to His rule of silence,

as a stern ‘no’ to the soul,

still Holy Spirit surrender is sweet,

and without downtrodden toll!

Feelings are spared,

and guilt finds not its place;

harsh words withheld by the Supreme Measure

of God’s Grace.

Vain words will be defeated

And flee from the mind

when God’s Spirit silences the

willing lips of His sublime.

But of God’s correction,

silence is not of gold,

for believers must embrace chastisement,

to counter the evil lies they’ve been sold.

For in the spirit, we know

and feel the degree of God’s Sigh,

and counter each sweet grain

for measuring,

each spotted offense of unholy pie.

On Church Discipline

"But if he will not hear, take with you one or two more, that ‘by the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. And if he refuses to hear them, tell it to the church. But if he refuses even to hear the church, let him be to you like a heathen and a tax collector. (Matthew 18:16-17, nkjv)
