THE THRONE OF GOD
by Lewis E. Thomas THE THRONE OF GOD The Bible tells us of Gods "GREAT THRONE" in Heaven up above!
It tells us about His Only Son who came down to earth to show the whole world His "LOVE"!
The Bible tells us that we will all stand before God one day to be JUDGED one by one!
He will look at each one of us to see if we are washed in the blood of His Son!
Have you ever thought about that scene and tried to imagine it within your mind?
Stop, and give that some thought when you have some time!
When we stand before God it won't be like it is in a Courtroom today!
When we stand before God the "SCENE" will completely "BLOW US AWAY"!
Imagine yourself as a tiny flea on the floor in a Courtroom today standing before the Judge!
You would be so frightened and terrified that you wouldn't be able to move or "BUDGE"!
When we stand before God the scene will be far beyond the little example I just gave you!
When we stand before God we will be gripped with "TERROR" and won't know "WHAT" to do!
His Great Throne will reach so High, that it will be like a "GREAT TOWER" splitting the "SKY"!
The scene of it all will take your breath away and you will begin to "WHIMPER and CRY"!
When He speaks His voice will sound like "THUNDER" as it "SHAKES" the place where you stand!
"LIGHTNING" will flash all around you in a way that is "AWESOME, TERRIFYING, and GRAND"!
When God looks at you, He will be looking to see if you are covered with "THE BLOOD" of Jesus, His Son!
If He doesn't "SEE THE BLOOD" upon you, your troubles have only "JUST BEGUN"!
Stop and think about all this and "PONDER IT WELL" after you close this rhyme!
Run to Jesus and to that old "RUGGED CROSS"
while you still have "TIME"!
The throne of God...
