VISIT THE LONELY

VISIT THE LONELY!

Do you ever think about all those lonely souls in the Nursing Homes here in the U.S.A.?
My mother Eunice was in one for eight years, give or take a day!

She passed away one day as she was sleeping on January 18th, 2013.
I took it pretty hard and cried on my brothers shoulder, and I felt like I was trapped in a "BAD" dream!

After Mom was gone to be with Jesus in that Heavenly Kingdom up above!
My wife and I continued to visit other residents in that same facility to show them a little love.

I saw residents being abused and heard they were treated like rag dolls by some of the male staff who roughly tossed them around!
I was told that things got worse at night when the "NIGHT SHIFT" made all their rounds!

Many residents have told me that they feel like they have been "IMPRISONED" for a crime they didn't do!
Their "ONLY CRIME" was daring to "GROW OLD" like me and like you!

Many nursing homes shine on paper, listing many activities available to keep residents occupied, doing this or that!
But after you've visited the facility for years you realize those activities "DO NOT" exist and that is a fact!

You know what "CHEERS" a resident up and puts a "BIG SMILE" on their "FACE"?
That would be "EVERY TIME" they get a "VISITOR" and get to see a friendly face!

Do you want God to "SMILE ON YOU" and believe that you are something  "REALLY GRAND"?
"VISIT" someone in a Nursing Home on a regular basis and it matters "NOT" if it is a woman or a man!

You may "RIGHT NOW" be physically fit, strong, young, and in your "PRIME"!
But if death doesn't get you first, YOU WILL GROW OLD, it's just a MATTER OF TIME!

We reap what we SOW, so think about that fact while you are young today!
One day you may end up in a nursing home, and wouldn't you "LOVE IT" if "SOMEONE" came to "VISIT YOU" from time to time to brighten up your day?

Visit the lonely...

But whoever has the world's goods (adequate resources) and sees his brother in need, but has no compassion for him, how does the love of God live in him?
