WHY GRATITUDE IS SO VITAL
by linzy bruno
Gratitude is impalpable, and wondrous to behold; in thanksgiving, the walls break open to a place where truth can be sold.
For if the heart doth abide in this treasure, standing fast against the rain, the Spirit will fight mental tortures; God’s Grace supplying priceless gain.
When a child of His abides in gratitude, his heart is primed for flight or fight, as God arms the thankful; those who persist in His delight.
Divinely keeping God’s Provision fresh; continual gratitude doth set the soul on high, and the holy brethren’s spirit repeatedly, meeting up with Him in the sky!
Oh, the joy of basking in needs having been met; God’s leading in all transactions, steering one not unto regret!
Oh the peace that comes from gazing at the roof that keeps our heads, shelter still standing; bills paid and family fed.
Oh the gratitude! It flows, and even overflows, instead...
Gratitude, unbroken and unfinished and His Grace fully sustaining over time; old things like new and all thing mingling-- a smashing new sort of rhyme.
For when gratitude is faithfully leading, and envy and fleshly ambition, not at play; the heart is kept safe from all that covets and longing and greed are held at bay.
Upon practical conviction, gratitude is accessible, like any open door, oh walk through and sing with Praise! His Grace unfettered, forevermore!
And because satisfaction is beautiful; God will keep all things like new and extend the life of one’s possessions, concluding in wisdom, all that ensues.
So in reply, why is gratitude so vital? the answer is oh so profound; the more I acknowledge and confess my heart in thanksgiving; the more satisfaction, bout' me, all around!
So raise a glass to staying thankful, as we honor Him who rules in such great worth; let us toast in recant ALL His blessings, so much greater than ALL that graces this earth!
So much to say about gratitude, only no words can fully display the joy over even the smallest things; every little blessing He throws my way….
For when it comes to gratitude, I could go on and on all day.......
