Marital Mismatch 3
by Olawale Ogunsola

In part one of this topic, we discussed the possibilities of being a victim of marital mismatch and giving the assurance that the Lord has a sure way out for every victim in different ways and times.
On the other hand, in this part two of the topic, we are going to discuss this from another perspective. Sometimes, people involved in a marriage may look as if they are mismatched when in actual fact they are brought together by divine arrangements for their Creator to fulfill a purpose. Many times, in such divine association, those involved only lament not knowing what is at stake for them.

In actual fact, unknown to many, marriage is HARD WORK that must be carried out. It is a call to duty. People are always interested in marriage juices available to only those who are hard working. Sowing is reaping but many people want to reap without sowing. This violates divine laws.

One sure thing is that love is a healing balm. Abuse of the use of this word has rendered it powerless. Love is a healing balm that can never fail. It has been used to cure many people.
Let cite a few cases here:
One, will it not be seen as a mismatch for a beautiful girl with excellent manners to be married to a drug addict? Because of sincere love, understanding and communication, the man became a child of God and at the end of the day a kingdom addict.

Two, there was a case study of a man who was known to be a notorious tout with whom a young girl fell in love. How can you fathom that a child of God is married to a tout? Because it was divinely arranged, within a short period of their marriage, with prayers and regular counseling, a notorious tout became a Prophet of the Most High God.

Three, who wants to marry a harlot? A sister who lost her womb to waywardness was pointed to a brother as his wife. Because the sister has really been born again, she became a happily married woman with children.

Do you know that God uses marriage to win souls into His Kingdom? He plans it! He execute it. Marriage is a means by which God reconcile people to Himself.
It is the Lord Who match makes. He is the initiator. He does His work even today.
In many cases, the problem that exists in a family is the work a wife or husband is expected to carry out for the glory of God. Such assignment can be successfully performed if God is involved regularly.

So, many perceived marital mismatch is not a mismatch but a call to duty for the Lord. Let me reiterate it again that it is pertinent that the Lord be involved in the choice of a partner and administration of a home to get the results He plans for such marriage.

Moabites became united to the people of God through the marriage between Ruth and the family of Elimelech a man from Bethlehemjudah. This man with his two sons lost their lives in the land of Moan. Yet, the Lord continued His good plans by making Himself known to Ruth as a God under whose wings she could come and abide for profits. Complete story is contained in the book of Ruth Chapters 1-4.

I believe that this topic will be more understood when part three is discussed.
Stay blessed and prepared for the imminent coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
