Two Cheap Probiotics to Raise Your Immunity
by Tonja Taylor

If any of you is deficient in wisdom, let him ask of [b]the giving God [Who gives] to everyone liberally and ungrudgingly, without reproaching or faultfinding, and it will be given him.--James 1:5, AMPC

As I've told many of my students and others, probiotics are the good bacteria we must have in our guts--our intestines--to fight off the bad bacteria and other disease-causing agents.  Yogurt and saurkraut are two very cheap foods with probiotics that can help you be healthier.

Saurkraut is fermented cabbage, and it is of course sour-tasting. Look for the organics brands, which will have no pesticides used on them.

Yogurt is helpful, unless you are sensitive to dairy products. Even then, organic yogurt (milk where no antibiotics or hormones or other drugs were used on the cows) can still be beneficial, and less likely to irritate sensitive systems.

Of course, you can always purchase probiotics in capsule form. They are tasteless. They are refrigerated or on the shelf.

When I asked a health store owner which is more effective, she said that an expert told her that the secret to preserving the bacteria so that as many as possible are alive when you take the pills, to better populate your gut, was not whether they were cold or not, but rather that the moisture was kept away from them.

Go for it,  and remember that the Word of God and speaking healing Scriptures over yourself and loved ones daily is the basis for good health. The probiotics can definitely help raise and strengthen your immunity, though!

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and [that your body] may keep well, even as [I know] your soul keeps well and prospers.--3 John 2, AMPC
