A few years ago, I saw a man I knew counting a stack of one dollar bills. I joked that I had come at the right time.

He picked one up and said forlornly, “That’s about how I feel—worth about as much as a one dollar bill.”

“Don’t you say that,” I rebuked him gently. “JESUS gave His life for you. You are priceless to Him!"

I thought of the story about how someone found a dirty dollar. It had been dropped in the mud, run over, crumpled, and just messed up. It looked like a nasty piece of paper.

People ignored it, and even kicked it, until one young girl saw it.  She was picking it up to put it in the trash, when she noticed numbers on it.

She straighened it out, and realized it was a hundred-dollar bill!

Just like with us, all of this abuse didn’t change its worth.

It was still worth and always would be worth $100!

How much more is our worth--no matter how we are torn, crumpled, stepped on; abused--to the LORD God, Who created us? We are precious in His sight!

You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for, made His own]. So then, honor God and bring glory to Him in your body.--I Corinthians 6:20, AMPC

You were bought with a price [purchased with a preciousness and paid for by Christ]; then do not yield yourselves up to become [in your own estimation] slaves to men [but consider yourselves slaves to Christ].--I Corinthians 7:23, AMPC

If you want to be perfectly loved and accepted and helped for the rest of your life, all you have to do is ask the LORD Jesus to forgive you of your sins and cleanse you, and come into your heart and be your LORD and Savior and very Best Friend. He will!

For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved.--Romans 10:13, AMPC

For we know that if the tent which is our earthly home is destroyed (dissolved), we have from God a building, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.--2 Corinthians 5:1, AMPC

Go for it. It will be the best decision of your life, and you will never regret it!
