God knows when we are weakest; When we feel we can’t go on. God knows our deep hurts, and fears, And when we have lost our song.
He knows our weak frailty, And remembers we are dust. He helps, and so gently draws, And whispers, “Child, just trust.”
“Right now you don’t understand All I have in store for you. But like a little child, Just trust My word, that is true.”
“I know your many questions, And your desire to believe. I also see your great weakness, And enemy, that would deceive.”
“If you’ll run to me, My child, Your needs I’ll surely meet; I’ll carry you through this time, And strengthen your weary feet.”
“If you’ll listen, I will speak, And My truth will set you free! Come, my dear Child; just trust, Step by step, leaning on Me.”
