God Almighty came to earth, As a tiny, little babe. The One Who made mankind, Came to die, and to save. Perfect, Holy, Lamb of God- His life’s blood was shed for me! Now, I sing a new song, Because of Calvary.
Refrain: That’s my Lord, Who calmed the water, Of the troubled, stormy sea! That’s my Lord, Who says “Nothing- Nothing is too hard for Me!” That’s my Lord, Who came to earth, And He died to set me free! That’s my Lord, That’s my Lord!
I know I am not worthy, Of God’s great love, or His grace; I have nought of merit, That I should see His face. But by Jesus’ sacrifice, I am cleansed and made anew! He has made me His own, And will carry me through.
Sometimes the dark doubts or fears, Seek to drive me from His side; I’m tempted to despair, And to stray from my Guide. But through the struggle and tears, I know that He is still there! He hears, cares, and loves me, And will answer my prayer.
I have a great enemy, Who is looking for my fault; He holds each failure high- Even my fear and doubt. But when to my Lord, he comes, To point out every sin, God’s answer rings out clear: “My blood has cleansed within!”
Final refrain:
“That’s my child, That I have rescued, And cleansed from every sin! That’s my child, Who I adopted; And I’ve set my love on him! That’s my child; There is nought, That can take him from my hand. That’s my child; That’s my child!”
