God knows the winding path I take; It’s heartaches, and it’s sweet joys; It’s tears, tests, trials, and laughter; Quiet times, amidst the noise.
How tenderly He watches o’er, As I walk this way He planned. No matter what I am facing, He keeps me safe in His hand.
He sees ev’ry little detail. He hears my silent prayer, When I am feeling discouraged; Reminding me of His care.
Who am I that He should notice, Or care, to direct my way? That He should make me His child, And walk near to me each day?
I am nothing worthy of Him; Yet He’s set His love on me; Calling me His child, by name; Redeeming me at Calv’ry.
Now my dear Lord is molding me Into His likeness Divine, Through everything that He allows, On this path, that’s surely mine.
As I look back, I see His hand, Shaping, and drawing me near. He’s never failed, or left me, But has grown so much more dear!
He knows my path, and cares for me! ‘Tis such a comfort to know, Wherever His hand may lead me, His will walk with me, below.
