Some days I’m not sure if I’m coming or going.
I find myself going in circles; making it hard to tell the difference.
Our lives might be compared to clunkers with automatic transmissions in need of a complete overhaul. If the old jalopy drives only in reverse, we’re in big trouble.
Life is dished out in three sections: past, present, and future.
The LORD gives us one slice at a time.
If He had wanted us to concentrate on the past, God would have given us eyes in the back of our heads.
At times a glance over the shoulder can be dangerous. We don’t want to be distracted from the view ahead.
Imagine the foolishness of an infantry hearing the command to charge; turning around and attacking what is behind them.
God's children need to advance His kingdom.
“Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but walked by their own advice and in the stubbornness of their evil hearts, and they went backward and not forward (Jeremiah 7:24 NASB).”
Backward means retreat.
Forward, march!
Go onward as faithful Christian soldiers.
