REMEMBER THE HOMELESS!
by Lewis E. Thomas REMEMBER THE HOMELESS! I'm sitting here today listening to the constant rain that's been falling now for two days!
Thinking about how God has blessed me in a million different ways!
He has blessed me with a home and a family and He has put a good roof over my head!
He has "SAVED MY SOUL" and lifted me up out of the realm of "THE SPIRITUALLY DEAD"!
God has put food on my table and I have never had to go hungry and homeless on the streets!
When I start "COUNTING ALL MY BLESSINGS"
I get choked up about it and bow my head to softly "WEEP"!
There are millions of homeless and hungry people around our fallen world!
That would include the old, the young, men, women, boys and girls!
As the rain continues to fall on my roof God reminds me of the homeless souls out there in the "RAIN and the COLD"!
How many of us take the time out of our day to thank God that we are not out there "WITH" them if I should be so "BOLD"?
Sure, many are out there because of the bad choices and decisions they've made in life!
Yet, many are out there because they were abandoned by or lost a Father, a Mother, a Husband or a Wife!
Or perhaps bad health, old age, and or drug addiction put them in their homeless state!
If not for the "GRACE OF GOD" we too could be out there suffering the "SAME FATE"!
The point I'm trying to make is do we have any compassion for the homeless and their plight?
Or do we "STRUT LIKE A TURKEY" in our pride saying: well they should have followed my lead and done things "RIGHT"?
Regardless of what rendered them homeless do we have a heart like unto the heart of God to care and grieve for them?
Do we ever lift them up in prayer to God and do we seriously "INTERCEDE FOR THEM"?
God had me to write this rhyme as I sit dry and warm within my home!
God is "WATCHING YOU AND ME" to see if we even care about those who are out there living on the streets "ALONE"!
Remember the homeless...
God is watching...

1 John 3:17
But whoever has the world's goods (adequate resources) and sees his brother in need, but has no compassion for him, how does the love of God live in him?
