Has someone wronged or hurt you today?
It is so easy to run and hide.
Have they been unkind in word or deed?
It’s easy to put down, and deride.

In those moments, when we are faced with wrong,
It’s so easy to react, at the time,
With prideful retaliation of heart;
Instead of responding with love, divine.

Jesus knew great pain, and deepest hurt;
It was not because of His own sin;
Yet He responded with perfect love,
And such complete forgiveness, within.

If we will run to God with our pain,
And remember His great love, that forgives,
We can find His perfect strength and grace,
To respond with love; because He lives!
