The I Am is Faithful Forever!
by Tonja Taylor 22 Namely, the righteousness of God which comes by believing with personal trust and confident reliance on Jesus Christ (the Messiah). [And it is meant] for all who believe. For there is no distinction, 23 Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives.--Romans 3:22-23, AMPC Jesus Christ, the true God--the Great I AM!--is so faithful! When the light underneath the microwave went out, and a light kept flickering in the back bathroom, I called for a repairman. During the middle of me tutoring a student online, a large, rough-looking man banged on the door to came to check on it, and seemed immediately concerned. He showed me where one of the lights looked rather burned, and said it was a danger, and not to use it. "I don't know how it didn't catch on fire by now!" he said. "I do," I said calmly. "We plead the Blood of Jesus over everything first thing when we wake, and we know God has His holy angels watch over us." He just looked at me. "Don't use it!" he said. "You need a new one!" He came back the next business day to measure for it, and also checked and replaced the smoke detector. I felt led to invite him to church. When I gave him the invitation, he said, "Are you a Christian?" "I hope you can tell!" I said, and smiled. He started pouring out to me how he'd been a very bad person, had been shot five times--but wouldn't go to the hospital, cause they'd find out all the bad stuff he'd been doing; then had a heart attack, and had a dream about the LORD telling him, when the repairman asked who he was, "I AM that I AM!" and promised to pull him out of the hole he was in (in the dream), if he (the repairman) promised to change his ways. And God said to Moses, I Am Who I Am and What I Am, and I Will Be What I Will Be; and He said, You shall say this to the Israelites: I Am has sent me to you!--Exodus 3:14, AMPC He promised the I AM--Who is God!--to change his life and start living right. He said that at that moment was when the doctors were successfully able to use the paddles to bring him back to life. He changed his ways, and had been living for the LORD ever since, he said, and was no longer worrying about anything, nor letting other people's wrong behavior bother him. Praise God! He said he'd come to church if he could, or would have his friends bring his many grandchildren to the church. He also told me that, the same week he could have died, two other very good men who were so nice died. He wondered out loud with me why they died and he hadn't--when he'd done so many things wrong. "Maybe they did not really have a true belief in what the Blood of Jesus did for them on the cross, like you do!" I said. "We can never get to Heaven by our good works--only by believing in Jesus and that His blood is what cleanses us from our sins and makes us acceptable to a holy God." He seemed to consider that I was right. He also said some had said he should write a book about his very changed life. I encouraged him to do it. He had such a testimony to the goodness of God, and was not shy about giving it! I'm so thankful, as I'd told him also, that the LORD had had mercy on us all, because I and the rest of humanity had messed up and sinned against God; that the good LORD Jesus Christ had changed my life as well! As Romans says, "All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God," but also as Romans 6:23 says, For the wages which sin pays is death, but the [bountiful] free gift of God is eternal life through (in union with) Jesus Christ our Lord. Hallelujah! Also, as Romans 10:13 says, For everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord [invoking Him as Lord] will be saved. Glory glory glory to God, Who is good; Who is for us; Who gave His only begotten Son, Jesus, that we can be born again to new life in Christ, and live forever with Him! 12 If I have told you of things that happen right here on the earth and yet none of you believes Me, how can you believe (trust Me, adhere to Me, rely on Me) if I tell you of heavenly things? 13 And yet no one has ever gone up to heaven, but there is One Who has come down from heaven—the Son of Man [Himself], Who is (dwells, has His home) in heaven. 14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert [on a pole], so must [so it is necessary that] the Son of Man be lifted up [on the cross], 15 In order that everyone who believes in Him [who cleaves to Him, trusts Him, and relies on Him] may not perish, but have eternal life and [actually] live forever! 16 For God so greatly loved and dearly prized the world that He [even] gave up His only begotten (unique) Son, so that whoever believes in (trusts in, clings to, relies on) Him shall not perish (come to destruction, be lost) but have eternal (everlasting) life. 17 For God did not send the Son into the world in order to judge (to reject, to condemn, to pass sentence on) the world, but that the world might find salvation and be made safe and sound through Him.--John 3:12-17, AMPC Hallelujah! King Jesus is returning very soon! Will you be going back to Heaven with Him--the Great I AM?
