How I longed to know my Jesus, And more fully in Him trust; To know His great love, and power, And walk with Him, hour by hour.
God saw the longings of my heart, And my weakness, ev’ry part. Yes, He knew just what t’would take, His sweet likeness to create.
So in tender mercy and love, He looked on me, from above; He led me through great trials sore; I came to know Him, more and more.
Through a dark valley, my God led, But my Soul He richly fed. Through many paths unknown, we walked; But my Savior with me talked.
He allowed such great heartache too, But I found His comfort, true. I fell down, my weakness to see; He gave mercy, and strength to me.
Impossibilities I faced; But saw His great pow’r and grace. Forsaken and alone, I felt, But His presence with me dwelt.
When others failed, and love ceased, My God’s ‘love notes’ more increased. When storm clouds seemed to hide His face, I found His promises, and grace.
Sore disappointment I did know, But God’s grace, He did bestow. Often I could not understand, But God helped me trust His hand.
How many things Gods led me through, To show His greatness anew . I need not fear or know alarm, For I’m safe in my God’s arms.
God will never fail to guide, As I walk closely by His side. And my heart sings to Him Who’s true; To my great God; Who led me through!

Isaiah 55:8-9 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
