ACTIONS, CHOICES, AND WORDS
by Lewis E. Thomas ACTIONS, CHOICES, AND WORDS There is an "ALL SEEING EYE" out yonder far beyond all the stars in the "SKY"!
That "GREAT EYE" is daily focused on every one of us, until the "DAY THAT WE DIE"!
That would be the "EYE OF GOD" that sees all, knows all, and hears all that is said!
He is the "GREAT JUDGE" of the living and the "DEAD"!
He is keeping detailed "RECORDS" of all of our "ACTIONS, CHOICES, and WORDS"!
He sees our every deed, our every choice, and He hears our "EVERY WORD"!
What does God see when He looks down upon your life today?
Does He see "YOU" serving Him and walking on that "STRAIGHT and NARROW WAY"?
Are your "ACTIONS" pleasing God and are they obedient and in "harmony" with his Holy Word?
Are the words that you speak holy, or are they evil words that should never be heard?
Do you make "CHOICES" that are pleasing to God or are you always making choices to please and "GRATIFY YOURSELF"?
If you own a Bible, is it opened and read by you daily, or is it just a dusty "ORNAMENT" lying on a shelf?
Do your "ACTIONS" encourage your children and others to "FOLLOW" Jesus with all of their heart and soul?
Do your "CHOICES" show that you spend most of your time pleasing "YOURSELF", never thinking about HEAVEN'S STREETS of GOLD?
Are the "WORDS" that leave your lips during the day mingled with words that are "UNHOLY" and "PROFANE"?
Do your children and others hear you cussing and lying and taking God's name in "VAIN"?
Our children, friends, co-workers, neighbors, and others are watching our actions, choices, and the words we say!
Are we "INFLUENCING" them to obey and serve God and to live their lives in a "MORAL" and "HOLY" way?
ACTIONS, CHOICES, AND WORDS!
This is a subject that we all should ponder long and "WELL"!
Because our actions, choices and words, can take us and others up to "HEAVEN" or straight down into HELL"!
